A hydrodynamic screw is the reverse of an Archimedes’ screw: thanks to the hauling of water, energy can be recovered. Even streams and rivers with small height differences between 1 and 4 meters are suitable for a Mobilepowerbox for energy production. Taking into account a minimum amount of water remaining in the river, an economical amount of water ranging between 500 and 2000 liters per second can be used.

The hydrodynamic screw, which is similar to a giant screw is housed in the container and will be inclined obliquely downwards in the direction of the water flow. While flowing downwards the water adds a rotary motion to the screw. Since the slope of the screw is relatively small, it rotates slowly (25 to 40 revolutions per minute). The energy is produced by a generator at the upper end of the screw; this generator can be supplemented with an intermediate gear.
